Wild Horse Volunteer Fire Station Number 1

The fire station is a Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) building that is 40' x 50' in size.  It was built by volunteers in 2001.  It was dedicated the "the Fallen Heros of 911" on Sept. 29, 2001.

The building houses the fire apparatus and equipment as well as the training room, rest room, office and exercise equipment.

The department sits land that was donated by the Wild Horse Ranch Landowners' Association and was then Deeded over to the County in 2001.  (All Fire Department buildings and land have to be owned by the County in order to obtain the Insurance for building, people, and equipment)
