The WHVFD firefighters have completed several advanced wildland fire classes.

In February, they completed the S-131 or Advanced Fire Fighter Type 1 and the S-200 or Initial Attack Incident Commander.

In March, they completed the S-230  Crew Boss and S-231 Engine Boss classes.

Several of our new members also completed the 32 hours Basic Wildland Fire Fighter class put on in Datil, NM and sponsored by our Wild Horse Grant.

More widland classes are scheduled in May.
